HOW TO MAKE DRIP COFFEE?
Materials
Ground coffee
Fresh water
Drip coffee maker
Filter
Measurements
We recommend 2 tablespoons of coffee per cup of water. For the more precise folks, that’s 55 grams (2 oz) of ground coffee per 1 liter (34 oz) of water.
For the bold—use more. For the less bold… you know what to do.
Step 1
ADD CLEAN, COLD FRESH WATER TO THE MACHINE.
How much water? Well, how much coffee do you want to drink? (Add that much.)
Step 2
PLACE THE FILTER INTO THE MACHINE.
Step 3
ADD THE GROUND COFFEE TO THE FILTER.
Step 4
TURN IT ON.
Press the button. And just in case—make sure it’s plugged in.
Step 5
LET IT BREW FOR 4–5 MINUTES.
Read a book about birds. Stretch a little.
Step 6
SWIRL THE COFFEE POT.
Step 7
POUR. SAVOR. ENJOY.
Step 8
REPEAT. SHARE. WAKE UP AND GO.
Drip Coffee vs. Pour Over
This is where drip coffee shines... Just add water to the machine, place the filter and ground coffee, turn it on, walk away—and voilà!
Pour over can deliver richer, more complex flavors, but it takes more time.
